Interesting spot, good for a walk on a free afternoon. Very unique cemetery with a very special atmosphere.

It is not often that a cemetery is on the list of places to visit as a tourist, but this is an exception. The Municipal Cemetery in Punta Arenas is really a sight to be seen. It was ranked by CNN as one of the...More
This is a large area and contains a variety of simple plots to elaborate and ornate family mausoleum. It is easy to walk around and explore. There is no charge to enter.
not everyone will want to visit a cemetery but they are fascinating places. The family mausoleums are quite amazing. Sad when passing the graves of babies though. Did find it bizarre that there were plastic windmills, metal ladybugs on small bikes and other oddities on...More
If you want to gain a historical insight of a region, visit a cemetery, especially a cemetery steeped in history and affording ostentatious structures and mausoleums. It is as if families try to outdo each other even in death. The cemetery is four hectares in...More
A well laid out set of walkways and tombs with many small trees and some flowers. Spent about an hour just walking around here looking at the various tombs -- some plain, some very fancy. One of the best cemeteries I have visited.
Good journey to see nice architecture of the cemetery. The size is smaller than cemetery Recolleta in Aregentina, but still worth visited while you are in Punta Arenas
interesting Place to walk around, conifer tree lined lanes, different languages on the head Stones and tombes, very well maintain.
