This place has greatly improved since my first visit in 2004. There are sidewalks and signs providing information as to the history of the cave and other extinct animals that lived in the vicinity now. Just happen to return because other friends I was traveling...More

After reading comments, we didn't expect much of the visit (we stopped there before visiting the Parque Torres del Paine), but I must admit that I was pretty impressed by the cave: it is huge! At the entrance you hear the story of the Milodon,...More

Very interesting spot during the Torres del Paine excursion. It is a very unique place since you can imagin how was the recent past before the massive extinction of the american mammals.

If you have time this cave is close by and worth the time. The cave itself is unbelievable. Would recommend it.

This is a very big cave. There's a plastic model of a Milodon which is fun to have your picture taken with. That's about it.

I went with my family like 10 years ago and we travelled all the way from Punta Arenas. For years we complained that this cave didn't worth the long trip. I visited this cave again a few days ago, and I have to say it...More

The site is well presented and quite educative but at least your into paleontology or other sciences in that direction, you may have the feeling that it is not worth all the time and distance spent to get there.

Well it isn't that. A big monster of a beast according to the replica at the cave mouth, with a short tail but you wouldn't want to bump into him on a dark night. There is a short easy going walk from the car park...More
