We visited as part of a tour group on an included trip. This was incredible, to be this close to the glacier was fabulous. We were very lucky with the weather, a beautiful sunny day but very windy. It must have been in the right...More

6 km wide over 25 km deep. Certainly one of the more impressive glaciers that I have ever seen. Well worth the effort to get here.

Last day of our 4-day 72km 'W' circuit after hiking through forests of lenga trees, strong winds, sun, rain, muddy paths, but the moment the eye meets the Grey Glacier this stunning wonder of nature you just sit there and stare, speechless and thankful.

If you are fortunate enough to have good weather this is a really excellent trip. The views of the glaciers are beautiful and the reflections make it twice as spectacular.

We had been trekking for 4 days and didn't want to continue by foot any longer due to knee pain and heavy weights carried for the whole family- so we took the floating boat from Grey to the other side The view is breathtaking!
