Great place to stroll around, especially in the afternoon, and heaps of shops, restaurants, people selling seemingly everything, live music, and some bars down one of the side streets.

Spent some time strolling along Paseo 21 de Mayo. It’s wall to wall shops and stalls selling everything imaginable. There was a really good musical puppet show on when we visited. I guess you can’t visit Arica without visiting here.

We visited Paseo 21 de Mayo several times during our visit to Arica. We found everything we needed plus more. If your visiting Arica a trip to Paseo 21 de Mayo is an absolute must.

Nice to stroll around the streets without cars, and look at all the little stalls selling cheap trinkets and souveniors!

This unique street (note no curbs in central Arica...duh, no rain!), is full of local showmen and seemingly happy people and here you will find nice stores with quality items....It is between two nice artisan shopping areas and well worth your finding both.

Go out the main gate of terminal, go across the street to where the fish vendors are and curve right up the hill. It's all foot traffic. Once you get to McDonald's take a left (if you're more daring) and go 1/2 block and... More
