There was a great amount of history in the museum and a nice shop too. Models of old weapons and other origional objects from the wars.

An interesting museum about the War of the Pacific and the short battle (only about 50 minutes) on El Morro when Chile took Arica from Peru. It is all in Spanish but it is a good little museum if you are interested in the history.

After walking up the 800 yards up the Morro Hill you can relax with a wander through the museum where weapons, and some infomation, from most all the military battles of Chile are represented. Well worth a visit

One of the few places in El Norte Grande where the shadows of the Pinochet era have not been brushed away. So much could be done with the displays (e.g. diplomatic relations with Bolivia and Peru), but history in this museum shows that a natty...More
