Great market! This place is real and grity. If you want to see a "real" Asian "wet market" check this place out. Butchering, fish cutting and cleaning, poultry dealers etc are here doing work. This may be a tourist attraction for you and me, but for the people who are working here its not.... A good place to observe Cambodian... More

Fun place to walk thru and haggle for gifts to take home. Almost everything you can imagine is here. Silver, carvings, food (both raw and ready to eat), clothing, purses, scarves, etc, etc, etc. Always fun to haggle with the sellers as they will start out at an outrageous price and expect you to counter.

We wandered the market area for a half morning in August. We enjoyed looking at the different sights. Some of the items are obviously aimed at tourists (e.g. the Angkor silhouette paintings), there are plenty of spices, snacks, art work and tourist bits and pieces to keep you satisfied... Well worth visiting if you have the time, we came across... More

You can either walk or take a tuk tuk to the markets. If you walk there I suggest you take a tuk tuk back to your hotel after shopping. You need to haggle with the store holders, there are many bargains to be had, but you need We'd to haggle.

As you walk through the Central Market you Will be assailed by requests to 'buy something'. Don't be concerned as this is normal practice and not a personal attack. The market is packed.with all of those tourist goodies that you may want to take home. Particularly t shirts, kramas, bedding, carvings, castings and general souvenirs. It also has a fresh... More

A market with food for the locals and other items (tshirts, bags, etc) for the tourists. Bring your haggle as their first price is never their last price.

Because there are 2 more cities I had to visit in Cambodia and 5 more cities to go to in Thailand, I forced my self to just look around and not buy or shop when I went to this market. It was rather a difficult experience for me, not buying some of the beautiful, but cheap stuffs that are for sale... More
