Get your best walking shoes on and carry a hiking stick. It's big and there are a lot of uneven, steep stairs to navigate. Just take your time because the fine carvings and architecture are worth the many steps. The hordes of tourists make the visit difficult. It's hard to just stop and contemplate; to stop and really appreciate the... More

This temple has been on my bucket list for a long time and it was worth the trip....awe inspiring, magical, and surreal. We spent a morning here but of course it wasn't long enough. We had a tour with listening pods, there are a huge amount of folks who traverse through here daily. Its a odd setup as you are... More

Such a great experience. The entrance fee for 1-day pass has increased from USD20 to USD37 per person. But still, Angkor Wat is a must-visit place. You won't regret.

We did the sunrise which was pretty cool. After, we did the small circle which was ok. The temples are similar to each other and gets really crowded by tourists trying to take pictures everywhere. At the biggest temple, there is three temples close so you'd walk thru the forrest which is great. There are a lot of steep stairs... More

Yes, it is overrun by tourists - but it's so big that it's still an incredible experience. Got there for sunset and it was magical - also not quite as crowded as we initially thought. Left hotel around 445 AM and found a nearly front row spot in from of left pond. After sunrise went into the temple - it... More

There's not much to say, apart from the sheer awe I was in at the monument. The only drawbacks would be the amount of tourists there at all times, and the souvenir shops/ hassling for purchase of items.

Very fun tour. You get to visit all 4 temples, learn the history and see some elephants and monkeys on the way.

We visited Angkor Wat in the afternoon, after seeing two other temples in Angkor in the morning. Most visitors take a break from the temples after lunch and return later afternoon to Angkor Wat, but we decided to go about 1.30pm and we're glad that we did. Take a hat and lots of water and it is fine. This meant... More

very enjoyable and enlightening hour or so walking around the temple. Suggest you pay for a guide or read up in advance to get the most from the visit. Choose the time you go to avoid the worst of the crowds, but basically the place is big enough for it not to be a problem at this time of the... More
