I came for the Angkor wat international half marathon, which was an unforgettable experience. The temples are mind blowing, there are a lot of tourists tho. There were no tourists when we ran around the temples for the marathon which was a positive.

The temple is very huge. So huge. It is a good place to discover the origin of a kingdom. The way the king built the temple is so magnificent. A lot of things that u can learn.

This destination is top notch. I was here 22 years ago when it was still a tree covered sleeping giant. it has grown up. Many people come see but it covers so many square miles that it can absorb the crowds. Worth several days to wander through them if you have the stamina.

We visited Angkor Wat twice while we were in Siem Reap and it certainly didn't disappoint. The temple is amazing in its size and detail, and it's hard to fathom how someone in that century had the ability to design and construct something so grand. The second visit was for the sunrise which is simply stunning. My tip would be... More

One of those places you'll absolutely love if you are lucky enough to be there when tourists are minimal, or, will spend your time trying to find somewhere else to be away from the tourists. Truly magical if you can manage to be virtually alone for a while at some of the sites.

Of all the temples, this is the one to see. The scale is amazing, along with the detail. Don't go to Cambodia and miss Angkor Wat.

We went to see Angkor Wat in the morning before dawn to experience the sunrise behind the temple. it was impressive. But man, although we were there before sunrise (5:30 am) there were so many people already, we couldn´t believe it. All of them gathered around the pond in front of the temple to take a photo of the temple... More

We had a day tour to Angkor Wat temple. We had a tour guide so we didn't find any problem to understand the history about the temple. One must take help from local guide otherwise it will be difficult to understand the history. It was a grt experience.

Do not miss the sunrise at this place. The colour looks amazing in the picture. Make sure to arrive before 5:15 am to get a good spots. A good time to visit this place is Dec and Jan when the weather is dry and not too hot.
