Our guide walked us in from the East Gate in the morning, allowing us to climb & visit the temple in a cooling breeze, then exit out the West Gate to see the temple lit in both the morning and afternoon light.

We visited Angkor Wat at sunrise and I would recommend this. Although it's an early start it's totally worth it!! Stand beside the lake to get the best view and get the reflection in the water. It also means to get it done before it gets too hot or there are too many people If you are female make sure... More

This temple is the largest in the world and it is shows with the bus load after bus load of tourists visiting the temple daily. Arrive at sunrise for photo opportunities and possible limited solitude to explore.

Such an incredible place to visit, no wonder it is the tourist hot spot of Cambodia. The intricate art on all of the walls, the multiple structures and the sheer mass of rocks used to build this ancient structure is mindblowing

It is very impressive, and if you have to choose a temple to see the sunrise, choose this one. We were not disappointed and the grounds are impressive. You can loose a full morning just walking around it.
