We attended the Angkor Village Apsara Dinner and Dance show in Siem Reap at the end of our trip. The Apsara Dance was a traditional translation of the Cambodian interpretation of the Ramayana. The costumes were lovely and the dinner was predictable. We had seen more exciting shows while in Siem Reap. I would characterize this show as a pleasant... More

Part of my review is tainted by the fact that our group sat in a long line of cushions on the floor with our feet dangling in the hole below the table. While that might seem a unique experience, it was difficult to get up and down for some of our more senior travelers and sitting through dinner and the... More

The Apsara dance is nice. There are 5 stories and the clothes are beautiful. This is a traditional dance and don't expect it is very entertaining. The food quality is not good. The salad, soup is ok.The 'Saraman' Pork and Steamed fish are terrible which you barely eat. All in all, this is a ok experience.

The theatre is clean and beautiful. Service is good. Performers are good and acoustic is impressive- no speaker or mic are used. We had a pleasant time. Just do not expect too much in term of food - going quantity and variety in the set but below average in taste.

The show describes the daily lives of the traditional resident in Cambodia. The pace is slow and hence you cannot expect it is an exciting show.

A cross sectional medley of classical and folk dance traditions of Cambodia so probably more interesting for first time visitors rather than purists. The theatre is mainly of wooden construction and interesting in its own right - you leave your shoes at the door but when visiting the toilets are provided with slippers. Dinner is served either on the ground... More

We had a great time there. It was nice to see your artisans wear such a beautiful costumes. Good chance to learn local culture. However, sitting on the floor few hours is too much for us.

Personally, I really liked the vibe of this place. Yes, the seats are not super comfortable and you are sitting perpendicular to the stage, but it gave it a traditional feel. The food was pretty good, but very heavy because the number of dishes are quite numerous. The tempura for the appetizer was particularly good. I was a bit annoyed... More

The dancing is nice, the place is luxury but please make your food better, it's disappointing most of all with this price!
