We took a day trip outside of Siem Reap to include Beng Mealea, Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei. There is a 3km round trip in the forest which is uphill one way and down hill back. There are some steep parts and also lots of...More

Its a refreshing hike about 2km uphill to reach the river bed. The scenery filled with climbing trees and large stones will keep you entertained along the way. Do bring some light refreshments and have a picnic at the benches by the river bed. It...More

A demanding trek to see the 1000 Lingas embedded in a small rivulet is worth every minute. The sight is awesome once you reach the top. Not to miss adventure, yes remember to put on your jogging or sports shoes as the track is definitely...More

If you are not willing to make a pretty strenuous hike uphill and over rocks to see the carvings, then don't go. If you are ready for a nice hike, then this is well worth it. The hike up is through some beautiful jungle on...More

The stream with a care river bed is just amazing. It's a 1.5 km rough track with some steep climbs through magical woods. Get there early - as the magic diminishes with more people and the paths are quite narrow. Best to go by car...More

Something different after all the temples! Free entrance with Angkor ticket, as well as free, good toilet with the same ticket, next to entrance. There are also some drinks ( and even food or clothes, didn't buy those) sold by the parking place. Be sure...More

We really enjoyed the journey to this place. The road up is long and bumpy (previously controlled by the Khmer Rouge), then there's a 1.5km "jungle" trek to find the carvings. Jungle is a bit strong a word, though there are vines and tree roots....More

I don't know why this isn't higher up on the list of things to do here, it is a bit of a hike but it is worth it and mostly shady on the way up! Of all the places we visited, this felt the most...More

This was another great tour advised by the funky flash packer team and they gave us a great pack lunch to take which was a great idea ...this place was better than angkor wat...well worth the time it took to get there.

Kbal Spean is best described as a nice walk after a scenic drive in the countryside. Decided to go by TukTuk (the slow way) so to enjoy the scenery and a very comfortable 1 and a half hour drive. Kbal Spean river bed carvings (to...More

No, but it would be quite hot and tiring. PLUS from the base of the hill you have to climb anyway. And that is for at least 45 minutes. So it's preferable to hire a car.
