This stunning edifice was visited very early in the morning to capture the soft photographic light. We were also fortunate for it to be an overcast day thus minimising the contrasts. A memorable experience to be revisited when we next visit Siem Reap.

Banteay Samre has a unique interior layout. You also get to climb the steps throughout which is challenging but fun. It is also neat to see how the interior would hold water and how the steps led down to it.
