Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very beautiful nature with rocks overlooking the sea. Apart from the natural views, there is also a medieval fortress which has been very restored and also a very small museum. There is also a restaurant with wonderful sea views. It is worth seeing.

We spent a sunny afternoon here and loved it!
It cost 3leva per person And was worth every penny.
There isnt that much to do and children would probably get bored but the views, wildlife, flora and fauna are amazing.
There is beautiful cliff top views all round, old graves and remains of buildings, we even saw dolphins swimming off the cape.
There is a small museum and a restaurant with lovely views further on near the end.
A must see!
Also just before Cape Kaliakra there is a small road on the left take this road and follow down to the right to find a lovelly beach Bolata Bay used by the locals

Cape Kaliakra is a place full of legends (like the one about the 40 girls that jumped into the water after they were chased by the ottomans), of history and of great views. The landscape is breathtaking and if you're lucky you can see seals, cormorants and even dolphins. To get there you should enter Kavarna and take the signs directions (you will cross through a very large field with wind turbines). The entrance is 3 Leva (aprox. 1.5 Euros) per person and is a parking where you can safely park your car. There are a museum inside and a restaurant. I also reccomend to go at the gulf (it's a bad road, but the place and the beach is absolutely amazing).

5 minutes drive from Kavarna, use the gps and set "Kaliakra Cape" any other setting will take you to hotel or restaurant in Varna or Golden Sands. The parking is free but you have to pay 3 euro per person to visit. It is a cliff with some ruins of an old military post but it has great views, interesting history, nice small museum and a beautiful restaurant where you can chill and have a meal, drink or ice cream and have the best sea view. Be aware that the road is a bit bumpy but ok to drive at legal 50km/h speed (don't speed, police is there quite often). Try to visit when when temperature is not high, we went on a hot day (33°Celsius) and got some sun burns ;)) use sun cream. Also, please mind your kids and don't go out of designated area, there are dangerous places and you get hurt easily. You can check the snail farm too if you are into this type of dish. Google the place, some great things happened there ;)

Gorgeous fortress on the Kaliakra cape. Breathtaking ensemble of nature and mediaeval architecture. There is a parking fee of 6 BGN, while entry is free. My opinion is that Kaliakra is a must do place.

Nice peninsula for beautiful sea views and ancient history. We took a taxi from Balchik (I understood that there is no public transportation available) and the driver waited us while we visited the area. The fee to the area was 3 leva per person. There are good spots to stop for photo shooting. There are ruins of ancient buildings and you can learn more about the history in a small museum (free entrance). The museum is next to a restaurant that opens to the west side and most probably the sunset view is gorgeous from the restaurant. Make sure you continue the path after the restaurant too.

We were lucky to have amazing weather so our experience was amazing! The sun was shining on the turquoise waters. Birds fighting around the rocks, dolphins jumping in the water. In May the poppies are in full bloom and only add to the ambience. The approach the cape is through the scenic fields of the Dobrudzha. The entrance is pretty minimal - 3lv per person an it's totally worth it. The views are amazing as well. There is a restaurant just before you reach the top of the cape which offers good food. Don't skip the small museum just next to the restaurant as it is well made and offers a nice reproduction of the medieval outlook of the cape.

try to park in the parking place, not on the edge of the road; maybe you will be lucky to find a place, as close as possible to the historical area
a nice walking till the end of the road, when a selfie point is waiting; also, two sculptures combine art with history, telling stories about the sea and its fighters
all around, amazing views, to North or South, revealing the spectacular red ground
a small museum presents into a cave relevant historical info, starting with the Greek period
a restaurant offers a nice opportunity to spend time for a drink, or to eat, looking for the sea
and of course, small shops around, to buy something to remember the place
a really nice place

Very nice to walk in the summer days and to admire the landscape (comfortable shoes or sandals are a plus). Very nice for photos also.

The nature, the view and the whole atmosphere at this place are unique. I have learned a lot about the history of this place - it is where back in 1912 the torpedo boat Drazki defeated the flagman of the Ottoman fleet, the battlecruiser Hamidie.
