This is a beautiful, well cared for botanical garden with a diverse range of flora and flauna. We wandered for hours and easily stumbled across enormous butterflies, bright green lizards and colourful birds. We were lucky to see a sloth curled up in a tree!...More
It's a nice place to go and spend an afternoon, but there isn't much to do. There are a few sloths and tejones mulling about, but the swarms of mosquitos mean you have to keep moving. There is a nice garden walk with some big...More
I went there With a colectivo from the centre - it takes you round about 30 min and 3 bs. The entrance fee is 10 bs. You can find a lot of different Types of flora and fauna Inside the parque while you walk in...More
The park isn’t anything particularly special. Went with the hope of seeing a sloth, but didn’t. Saw a few monkeys, birds, and butterflies. There is no real guidance when you enter the park. You just sort of walk around, and it’s easy to get lost...More

I quickly passed by the Jardin Botanico while returning from a tour. We just had 15 Minutes before closing time and only 1 goal: see a sloth. And we managed to see about 4 of them :) The park is popular with the locals it...More
This is a very beautiful park just a short bus ride from the city. You could easily spend the whole day getting lost here. There's a more maintained part of the park at the front, and then there's acres and acres of back trails to...More
We spent several hours in Jardin Botanico Santa Cruz with our guide Saul Arias. It is an excellent place to bird watch and we saw many of the local species and some austral migrants. Some of the beauties were the Blue Crowned Trogon, Chestnut Fronted...More
We did a Day Trip to the park, and was surprised by the size and the nature of this place. The first part of the park is well-maintained, but the rest is just like a big jungle. We got to see many animals: monkeys, sloths,...More

I do not know which bus (if any) go there but the direction is towards Cotoca (20 km East South East (ESE) of Santa Cruz) and the Jardin Botanico is on the right hand side of the Avenida Virgen de Cotoca dual carriageway about 6km BEFORE Cotoca immediately before the Toll Station. I would have thought that a taxi would be a reasonable price (less than 50 Bs) or a Trufi (shared taxi - even cheaper) and it might be worth while going on to Cotoca particularly if your visit is on a Sunday (street market). Good luck - it's worth a visit as is Cotoca.
