My uncle got married here recently and the location was beautiful. My husband and I did a wine tasting and they were very delicious and flavorful. The appetizers at the wedding were mushroom cups and meat on a stick in a yummy glaze. The reception room was huge and gorgeous! We really enjoyed.

It was 2 of us. We each chose a different wine flight. The nice thing was that we were allowed to share the flights. We were able to try both flights. The improvements we would make are... 1. Slow down when describing the wines. 2. Lower the inside music or not at all. The people sampling and drinking wine were... More

We've been to Alexandria several times but we've never visited Carlos Creek Winery. We're so glad we did! It was a quiet weekend there and we had the full attention of the staff for our wine tasting. You can choose from 8 different groupings of wine. I chose fruity wines and my husband chose Minnesota specialties. You won't leave there... More

I'm so glad you enjoyed our new self-guided cold-climate wine museum! We opened it in May, and are continuing to add exhibits. It is open whenever our tasting room is open and is always free, so it has made it much easier for people to plan their visits. More

Busy weekend with the beautiful Minnesota fall weather. Deep lines for wine tasting, but moved swiftly.

This place was great before the renovation and now it is amazing. Also a great place to have a wedding or event!

Thank you so much! My husband did most of the remodeling himself - so I'll pass along the compliment! More

Very fun afternoon. All events seemed well organized. Lots of different booths if you wanted to buy things, good variety of merchandise. Many different things going on so basically there was something for everyone. The downside to the whole event was trying to get out of the parking lot. Not well organized at all. It took us over an hour... More

Hi Lorri, I'm so glad you enjoyed the festival. We understand the waits can be long to exit parking on Saturday of the festival. The primary issue is 5000 cars exiting onto a single County road where we must yield to through traffic just takes time. Our crew of 30 parking attendants (Sheriff's deputies, Sheriff's Posse, Private Security & Law... More

We hired a bus to drive from Fargo, ND (100 miles away) to participate in the Grape Stomp and Fall Festival. Lots of great vendors, but the actual grape stomping contest was most fun to watch. We also enjoyed the Lumberjack competition. $5 entry fee was minimal for wine tasting, many food and drink choices. The weather was perfect for... More

Thank You Anna, I'm glad you enjoyed the stomp! Hiring a bus to bring you to the Stomp is a perfect way to attend. Private busses and shuttles are allowed to drop off passengers at our Shuttle Admissions area - the most convenient to the festival grounds! More

Unfortunately this year the Grape Stomp used tickets to purchase wine and beer. Average cost of each ticket was $4.50. You could get 10 for $40. The lines were long at the ticket booths. It took 2 or 3 tickets for a glass of wine $8-9.00. The wine tasting took 3 tickets. This year you had to choose either dry... More

Hi Randy, Thank you for attending our annual festival. I'm not sure what day you attended, but it sounds like it must have been Saturday when the beautiful weather brought record crowds and longer wait times at ticket booths and vendors. I thank you for sharing your concerns about festival costs. With so many great food, drink and shopping options,... More

Fun until the massive mess of a traffic jam when I tried to leave Saturday at 5:45. Finally left the lot 90 minutes later. Not good! You make a fortune on your $22 a bottle wine. HIRE some traffic control rather than rely on volunteers who are ruthlessly heckled by drunk people.

Hi Chirs, The beautiful weather brought record crowds to our annual festival, and I am glad you joined us. Exiting 5000 cars from our parking lot onto a single county road takes time. Flow of existing traffic must yield to the regular on-coming local traffic. Here are some tips for avoiding the long waits in the lot on Saturday evening:... More

Carlos Creek Winery is an awesome place to visit for a relaxing afternoon. Their wine is fantastic and they offer tastings for a fair price. They have a relaxed atmosphere with a large area for sitting with friends and taking in some live music or just having a good conversation. My wife and I are part of their wine club... More
