The hike in this Arcadia Dunes Nature Preserve to Baldy Dunes was beautiful and not challenging. The view from the top of Baldy Dunes looking to the Sleeping Bear Dunes to the north was awesome. The outlook that is accessible from the parking lot for...More

This is a place everyone must see! We did several trails in the Arcadia Dunes but I loved the Old Baldy Trail! The trail is well marked and it was perfect weather to hike. When Lake Michigan is the ending place how can you go...More

After hiking this trail one can understand why people banded together and formed the Grand Traverse Nature Conservancy to stop Consumers Power from turning the area into condos for the rich and golf courses. The trail is well march and beautiful. We had a multi-age...More

Agree with others- this is a nice walk through the woods with stairs and a short dune walk that opens on to an impressive view. You can then decide to do some steep climbs or gentle rolling sand walk along the bluff.

No question this a beautiful spot, but the stairs are a booger if you have knee trouble. Go on up the road and get the same vistas, much easier. There was a public restroom with water, which is great!
