Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice and ‘ bubbling” parc right in the center of Oruro. People sitting and walking around with their children. many times lots of carnaval music of bands excercising for carnaval.
SAll around vending people with all kind of foodstuff, ballons etc. Round 6-7PM all the schools go out and choldren in their school uniforms walk around and make pleasure with each other!

Excelent place to mingle with locals and watch street life going by at its own pace. Street vendors, food vendors, ice vendors, shoe shine and newspapers walking by. Love it

The central square is a great place to hang out and see the may different people that pass the day. Sometimes there are also big events like a car rally or parades of the schools.

Oruro's main square is exactly in the middle of everything. It is a great place to begin a walk or sightseeing. You will have the chance to visit the Local Government building with it's famous galery art. Near there are also 3 famous churches, if you are an arquitecture lover, you won't want to miss the Post mail building.

It's a pretty place - I like the contrast it highlights between nature with the trees it has and the city surrounding it. However, it's not all that special. It's located pretty centrally, so you'll more than likely pass it, but no need to stay for long.

To a visitor´s eye, Oruro is a fairly unappealing city. This plaza is one of the few places where people come to enjoy the splashing of the water in the fountain and the scent of some aromatic vegetation. A great place to chat up locals and to learn all the town gossip. Beautiful and safe at night too. I came here in the mornings to sit down on a bench, unfold a map and plan the day´s exploits. Nothing special, really. Just very nice. I visited Oruro in 2013.
