I learned an incredible amount of Bolivian (and South American) history here. They offer tour guides in English and Spanish. For me, this is probably a "top 5" museum in all of South America. Go for a visit, it's cheap and you learn a lot.

The sincere, passionate, and informative Paola gave our group an excellent tour in English one fine afternoon. Lovely grounds, very affordable, and a fine bout of info. on the city, the country, cultures, and more make this a must-do.

Friends recommended us going. We, unlike them, couldnt follow a tour due to timing. Withoit a guide this museum is hard to understand. There is hardly any information next to the objects or in Spanish.

I gather there are English speaking guides available, but not at the time I visited the museum. Only French or Spanish speaking tours were offered. It's a shame, because none of the exhibits are labelled in English - most aren't labelled at all - so...More

The free tour (included in the ticket price) really made the difference in understanding the interesting historical exhibits about Bolivia's constitutional history. Well worth visiting.
