Not so great visit. We expected beautifull masks but there were none. Only a small collection with some Alasitas stuff... It is free though.

It's always nice when you expect one thing, and then it's better! First off, this museum was free so there was nothing to lose. Second, we really enjoyed it; more than we thought we would. There was an exhibit on broaches upstairs, from their use...More

Beautifully displayed masks which were stunning. Other rooms and building interesting and attractive too.

Go for the masks, the rest of the exhibits were temporary and I found uninteresting. However, the masks and the stories behind them are amazing. So elaborate, and fascinating to imagine in use. The entry cost 10 BOB, as I recall.

This mask museum is not even 1 block away from the main plaza. It has a TON of masks on display and lots of informative signs to explain them. Each region has it's own traditions and styles of masks.
