The trip only costs 50 dirhams there are two tourist trips done one at 3pm I believe the other was at 5pm. Really great way to see Atlantis and the Marina. You can sit inside if too hot or stand outside on the deck!

Air conditioned, inexpensive way to get around the Marina. Not long to wait for ferry as they tend to run every 20 to 30 minutes.

The RTA Water Ferry in Dubai is an inexpensive and great way to see the city from the water. You can take the ferry from either Dubai Marina or from the Dubai Creek, and it lasts 1.5 hours. The ferry is air conditioned and there is also an opportunity to sit outside as you cruise along the shore from one... More

I don't see this advertised much, and there's not many destinations the ferry goes to. It's an interesting ride though, and it's about 1-1/2 hours. The ferry doesn't have any refreshments so bring your food. It is air conditioned. To purchase tickets go outside Marina Mall. Beware there's only one ticket person so be prepared to wait in a queue.

We took the 5pm ferry which is a one hour circular coastal route from Bur Dubai to Jumeirah and back. The price is very reasonable in a city where prices are often not! You do not get to see much close at hand once you are outside the creek/canal, but you do get a really good view of the skyline,... More

For about £11 you get a ride for nearly 2 hours, which starts near Pier 7, Dubai Marina. The vast buildings so close to each other, kind of blow your mind, well they did for me. As you leave the high rises behind, the next place that you pass under is the monorail that heads out up the Jumeirah Palm.... More

Try it out to commute, it's worth a good change. Not that expensive, but quite safe as an alternative means.

We did the trip from the Marina to the Old Town took around 1hr 45 mins with a stop at the new Dubai Water Canal, the ferry is comfortable and air conditioned and you can stand out the back to see the land marks. All for 50 dhs per person

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
