All visitors to Dubai should try the metro at least once - cheap, regular trains, stations well located, impeccably clean - I found myself chuckling a lot at the white marble stations, all without blemish! Can only dream of something similar in London. Beware the pink women only areas and the no food, drink or chewing gum rule - they... More

Accessible to most of the areas in Dubai and the ticket is cheap as well. It has stations in nearly all the main areas of Dubai. It's great.

To visit dubai and admire some attraction from the metro level, it is a great way of doing it with metro. Fast, comfortable and not cheap.

No way to come around without the metro. Get a day ticket. There are different compartments for first class and women (women can use them, men can't). No sleeping, spitting, eating. No driver, full automatic.

People push and getting in is difficult during Peak hours. There is separate Ladies compartment for the Ladies. If you are doing day hopping all the attractions would recommend taking the DAY... A state of the art mode of transport - silent, clean and punctual. Panoramic view of Dubai whilst travelling to an efficient and prompt timetable. Smooth journey, suitable for wheelchairs and prams.

Buy a silver card for ease of passage if you are staying and using the system for more than one day. Costs 25Dhs, 19 of which is available to use for... More
