We had 2 good looks at Dubai Fountain, once from the top of Burj Khalifa and also when we had dinner on the Roof Top Restaurant at Armani Hotel. While the lights were good and the pattern interesting, frankly we have seen better at home. It is not a must see attraction unless they have special events to celebrate in... More

We paid for the little boat ride. This lasts about 20 - 40 mins, depending on which boat you enter. It's a nice little boat ride around the fountains. They cruise around and wait for all other boats - about 6 or 7. Then get into position to allow you to watch the fountain. The music is usually a classical... More

Was cool to see how the fountains were synchronized with the music. We saw and listened at least 3 songs and the fountains had the rhythmic of the music. We found a nice spot to be that was close from the one entrance to the mall. You have to be careful with your place because suddenly you can be moved... More

During our stay we visited the fountains. The show was beautiful but we didn't get a good view because it was packed. I recommend you get there on time for the show to get the best view!

They are just fountains. In Dubai. They squirt to music every thirty minutes. Nothing else to say about them.

At the Dubai Mall, under Burj Khalifa there is the Dubai Fountain. Another must to see. It starty every hour after sunset. Be sure to be close at least half an hour before it starts. You can sít in one of the cafés. The performance takes about 20 minutes and fantastic. Music ( we heard Thriller by Michael), fountains (perfect... More

This is a special free spectacular frequent event every day in Dubai especially at night. In my opinion it is better than fireworks. It is located in the huge lagoon opposite the Burj Khalifa and shops and restaurants located around the lagoon. It is a huge, happy display which dances in synch with the music. There a large variety of... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
