A nice way to get a feeling of the Deira district is to walk from the Deira shopping Mall to Al Rigga Metro station. Underway you will pass among others the Deira Clock Tower, which is an icon for the Deira neighbourhood.

I passed here so many times and didn't even realize that this is an "attraction" - I mean, I was stuck in traffic when I first saw it and commented, "oh, cool feature for a clock" then later was told it was an actual attraction....More
This isn’t something I would go out of my way to see. It’s in the middle of a roundabout and isn’t anything spectacular and doesn’t have an interesting history or anything. It’s not a point of interest to travel to specifically to see.
