The St. Mary church is a historical church inIsfahan, Iran.In the 17th century Armenian people of Julfaquarter had a small church, the name of which was Hakoup. The Hakoup church was the oldest church of Julfa quarter.Khaje Avdik decided to expand the church.He decorated the church by lights, golden and silver chandeliers and valuable canvases and paintings and he named it st.mary church.

I visited the Jolfa district in the afternoon on a Sunday. Whilst some of the other Armenian churches were open this one unfortunately wasn't. I had to be content with views from a distance. Certainly interesting even to view the exterior with the domed roof...More

So friendly small church witch relax you and is one of the best part of your trip to esfahan. Nice space for resting. Go and enjoy.

It is located just beside the Kalisa-i-Vank or the Armenian Church. Much smaller in size. But it also has beautiful frescos on the walls and dome.
