Loved the night market. Thought provoking as it was almost exclusively run by women. Lots of doodahs at similar prices. Nice atmosphere.

If you want to eat something different in Luang Prabang, try the German Sausage on the side street off of the night market street. The Sausage Lady is very nice and makes a gourmet sausage. It looks to pretty to eat!

This market sets up early evening on the main street in front of the Royal Palace. I consider it to be the best of the several night markets that I have been to in South East Asia for two reasons: 1. Although I recognised some of the products as bought in from Thailand or China, a large proportion are locally... More

At 5pm every evening, one of the main streets in the centre of town is closed off for this market. Plenty of stalls all selling locally produces products which are cheap and great to take home as souvenirs. You literally can't miss this if you're in Luang Prabang

If you're in Luang Prabang at the southern end of the main street from around 5.30 pm onwards then this market can't be missed. Literally. You have to pick your way through it to get anywhere! Linger and there are some bargains to be had if you negotiate. Hats off to the stall holders who painstakingly set up and dismantle... More

Absolutely love the night market in Luang Prabang. It's different from other markets, much calmer and the sellers aren't pushy at all. You can find some great things here, and a lot that's produced in Laos.

It's a standard night market with lots of textiles and crafted pieces. Some pretty clothing and gifts. Gives the town a nice buzz at night but nothing amazing although it is nice that it's on every night.
