From city centre on 82th street you can’t miss this beautiful religieus centre. Very fotografic pagoda’s and shops with religues and also stuff for tourists. Its an easy biking from citycentre Mandalay. Dress properly!!
The Mahamuni Pagoda is a big temple in downtown Mandalay. Part of it is currently under renovation so you cannot see its central tower. Be prepared for huge crowds as it's the main pilgrimage site in this part of country.

Clean, beautiful and with only a few annoying sellers at the entrance. This place has wonderful examples of design. The incredible gold leaf everywhere, gives it an other worldly feeling. You have many opportunities to respectfully observe devotees in pray including nuns and monks.
