You can see the puppeteers at work at times when they raise the curtain. A very intimate place with perhaps 50 seats. The show lasts one hour. They supply a free bottle of water before the show and cost is only 10k. There is not many other things to do at night in Mandalay. Definately worth the excursion. Try to... More

Very cute performance, you really can see how much the artists enjoy the show, too! It's worth the 10k kyats to support them!

We attended the theatre on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The cost was 10000 mmk. Definitely entertaining and worth the money. The show is done in three parts and lasts one hour. I would recommend purchasing tickets early - we were at the back of the theatre where the viewing was a bit more restrictive. This is a popular... More

this's amazing that how people control the puppet with fingers. The puppet are very heavy but they can control the puppet to act like human, worth to see!

This is one of the most unique experiences in Myanmar. The music is really nice, the puppets are beautiful and have great moves. The show is really entertaining and presents some Myanmar culture. I would strongly recommend everyone to go here.

Shows every night at 20:30. Mix of dance, musique and puppet. Pedagogic show explaining about puppetry in Myanmar. 10 $ fee. I wish they could be more creative and contemporary. Good show. Music too load. On sreet 66 at corner with street 27

This show was really entertaining and definitely worth a visit. The music is very interesting and after some time I started appreciating it. The dances are also really interesting to see. It's worth the money.

If you're sensitive to loud, shrill a-harmonic music, you might find it hard to get through an hour of this. Think Peking Opera... with cymbals. Visually, I didn't find the puppetry anything special.

This performance is wonderful! In the first place, the small orchestra is a great way to be introduced to traditional Burmese music. I was amazed at the central percussionist's ability to carry the melody on twenty or more tone drums. His hands flew the whole performance. Each small act was amazing and often funny. As a fan of the Ramayana,... More

Great show! Unique and entertaining show! The performers and musicians were great and the old master was charming and a great performer. An interesting window on an important part of Myanmar culture. Highly recommended!
