It is really awesome that the puppeteers are keeping this age old tradition alive and well. The theater is really fun and the commentator is very informative on the subject. They lift the curtain so that the audience can see the puppeteers in action the oldest of which is 80 years old and still performing.... quite amazing. We loved it... More

We bought tickets for $10 each beforehand and chose front row seats. We arrived a minute late and the show had just started. The man showed us to our seat and we sat for an hour watching the puppets. The other reviews explain the layout of the show. We had had some wine with dinner and so I found it... More

The marionette show does a great job of showcasing traditional puppetry, dance, and live music. It lasts an hour and is divided into several short segments, each of which holds your attention while providing a different style of entertainment from the rest, from a slapstick skit to a serious story to a dance-off between a puppet and a human. You can see the puppeteers at work at times when they raise the curtain. A very intimate place with perhaps 50 seats. The show lasts one hour. They supply a free bottle of water before the show and cost is only 10k. There is not many other things to do at night in Mandalay. Definately worth the excursion. Try to... More

Very cute performance, you really can see how much the artists enjoy the show, too! It's worth the 10k kyats to support them!

We attended the theatre on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The cost was 10000 mmk. Definitely entertaining and worth the money. The show is done in three parts and lasts one hour. I would recommend purchasing tickets early - we were at the back of the theatre where the viewing was a bit more restrictive. This is a popular... More

this's amazing that how people control the puppet with fingers. The puppet are very heavy but they can control the puppet to act like human, worth to see!

This is one of the most unique experiences in Myanmar. The music is really nice, the puppets are beautiful and have great moves. The show is really entertaining and presents some Myanmar culture. I would strongly recommend everyone to go here.

Shows every night at 20:30. Mix of dance, musique and puppet. Pedagogic show explaining about puppetry in Myanmar. 10 $ fee. I wish they could be more creative and contemporary. Good show. Music too load. On sreet 66 at corner with street 27
