Has some nice exhibits, like examples of painted furniture, hand weaved carpets and silver jewellery. Feels welcoming and has a floor dedicated to chocolate production - what's not to love? Of course there is a tax for taking photographs, 15 or 25 lei - can't remember. The souvenirs one can buy in the museum are unlike anything else in Brasov,... More

Well... is a weird kind of a museum, but in a good way. A little history of this small corner of the world. I loved it. Very cozy. Very pleasant. Visit it if you get around here.

We paid the museum a visit, it wasn't quite what we expected though. It wasn't really about Brasov, but more about the people who lived in it. My wife enjoyed it more than me; fashion bits photographs of weddings. I'd have preferred more about industry and history! There was English translation in most rooms. There was a temporary exhibition on... More

If you enjoy an eclectic mix of artefacts jumbled together in cases, you'll like this place. You may prefer a more interesting narrative with useful information about the story of the area, perhaps a working media display? It really wouldn't take much to make this place more cohesive and I hope someone does.

The ticket was not very expensive, there is a discount for students and children. The objects are in good shape and well preserved. They paint a clear picture about the crafts and people of Brasov. It was a pleasant experience

This is a must see museum of a sensitively reconstructed urban dwelling that shows the evolution of Brasov's cultural and commercial development over many centuries. Don't miss the top floor for excellent information of the natural environment as well.

A small museum divided into two levels. The upper level is devoted to the last 400 years whilst the lower level is devoted to prehistoric and medieval times. The museum gives a real insight to Brasov's development throughout the centuries.
