The museum is outside of the city center/ touristic area and it is inside a shopping mall.
To visit it it is necessary to buy a ticket that it is far more expensive than the other museums in Varna.
The museum is quite big but unfortunately there are almost no explanation in english. There were some screens but 90% of them was off, the remaining ones where showing technical details of the car and some info about communist leaders. There were no explanation at all about the rest and very difficult to appreciate and understand it for a foreigner.
I spoke with a guy working at the museum ad he said that I was not the first one reporting this and that the owner is aware about these complaints but at the moment he has done nothing to improve it, despite also the employees tryed to suggest some actions to make the visit more enjoiable for foreigners.
It is a pity because I think this museum could have a lot of potential.

Excellent museum the quality of the exhibits is remarkable ,. The cars and bikes look better than new . Cheap entry price when I was there two years ago it was quiet less.than 10 people deserves to be more popular . Located.in the main shopping mall on a level of the parking garage it's a good concept that would work in other locations .

Visited with our 3 teenagers, innovative, well laid out and insightful museum. Gives you a great idea of what sort of material goods were available to people in communist Eastern Europe. Fascinating collection of cars from a number of former communist countries. The museum is not in the city centre but in a shopping centre about a mile outside the city centre. The shopping centre is next door to the city bus station. Takes around 30 to 45 minutes to walk around the display.

The place was well organized despite the fact that there were thousands of exhibits. you can watch and remember for hours for every item. We spent about an hour. It was cold inside. Every item shows you the past, near history and you will ask, where were we and where we are. The wax museum was also very good. I will bring more friends and family here, especially the older ones to show the marks of near past.

It’s in the Grand Mall, but well signposted when you get in the shopping centre. There is much old stuff (bottles, cigarette packets, toys, vacuum cleaners, watches, cameras etc etc) that it’s staggering. And all displayed beautifully. Plus cars so shiny they must be polished daily. My partner and I are advancing in years. She grew up in Poland and I’m English, but despite the fact much of the stuff appears to have been what was available in Bulgaria, there was plenty that we remembered or that was similar to what we owed in the 60’s and 70’s, so a good trip down memory lane. And the waxworks were entertaining too. One of the star attractions in Varna.

Strange location of a museum, in a shopping mall. Okay, we'll try.
The air in the room is suffocating. If you have asthma or allergies, steer clear.
The rollout is perfectly fine for the price. There is no highlight you have missed if you have read the history of Bulgaria

I was nicely surprised from the large collection of all varieties of different items. From the bars of soaps, vacuum cleaners and radios to cars as “Chaika”. Everything from 1944 to 1989 years (the communist time). Ive got a nostalgic flash back. Really enjoyed. For the kids-I don’t think they understand anything. They’re not familiar with anything in the exibition. But next to it, it’s the wax figures museum (about 65 different figures like Messi, Ariana Grande, Todor Zivkov, etc. Separate tickets for both museums. Discount for kids/students/pensioners. Adult tickets less than 10$. Cards are acceptable.

This place is purely astonishing as it gives almost a full picture of what used to be truly valuable for the people who lived under Socialism. It would be great if you could have a local person with you and see his or her reaction to items that were part of their household, of their games, of their family traditions. This is not an exhibition with some randomly picked items - this is like a treasury of lives. Naturally, people from the Eastern Block would be more emotional but everyone can learn something there.
You should spare at least hour and a half - you should understand how valuable all items were not long ago.

Wow, a museum where Stalin and Lenin are everywhere. The sexy Soviet cars, 0-60 in 3 minutes, CCCR/USSR manufactured goods with the busts of the great communist legend from soap to dishes. Soviet manufactured toys, every child had back then in the Eastern Bloc. Loved this place, took a few hours.
