After trying to find this museum within the archelogical museum (very wrong, it's near the baths) we were greeted by very enthusiastic staff. We unfortunately had plans later in the day so couldn't spend too long here. This was not a problem for our guide...More

The location is on 8 Noviemb str, and IS NOT as described elsewhere on Trip Advisor where it is totally confused with the Archaeological Museum. The photo is correct, that is the building, but the entrance is hard to detect. They keep the door closed...More

From the outside it doesn't look like much but once inside it's very interesting and compact. The on site guide added a lot of background information relating to the Bulgarian and European history
