Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It boasts magnificent architecture, built between 1363 and 1364. The dome and column architecture is impressive and carries Byzantine influences. It's clean and well-maintained, with wonderful woodwork. Outside, there are lovely cafes to take a break. It's necessary to cover yourself at the entrance.

Mosque was closed on the 3 occasions we visited. The lower portion has a café selling coffee and alcohol which leads me to suspect this in no longer a functioning religious building. In any case, it is in the center of Old Town near the Art Museum on Suborna Street and the Roman Stadium.

As a person who enjoys learning about different cultures I appreciate the fact that anyone can enter this mosque to see what is inside. You must remove your shoes, and that seems reasonable to me. I am told that one may not go in during prayers and that seems reasonable as well. The architecture is stunning and the ornamentation fascinating. I highly recommend taking a look anyone visiting Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

This is one of the very few working mosques in Plovdiv. It's vast and always crowded. Outside is one of the most famous turkish cafes in town.

The mosque is a starting point in both directions on the main street. Behind it there is a small square that leads to the Old Town, on the left side there is a cafeteria with a café along the street, alongside it you will reach the Traka district, and in front of it is the exposed part of the old Roman stadium of Philippopolis. You can take it and watch it, absolutely free.
The building is very well preserved and maintained, there are various elements in the facade, such as the solar clock on the facade.

Beautiful! A must visit. Great architecture and well restorated.
Has a nice Imam, who told us a lot about the history of the mosque and the muslim history of town.

Beautiful building near the centre of the new town that is a Mosque. It was built in the 13th century. There is a large cafe/restaurant on the side which plays traditional music. Also nice to hear the prayer song from the Mosque.

There are at least two mosques in Plovdiv. This was the best (?better). The Turkish coffe and baklava shop immediately outside serves the best coffee in town.

Relatively recently restored, this mosque adds so much character to the history, charm and diversity of the town. A bit on the pricey side there is also a nice traditional pastry shop. Must try if ready for a sugar shock! lovely
