The site is wonderful, very pretty to look at and cannot miss it as it is in the city center. Plovdiv is my favorite city in Bulgaria.

Plovdiv is a hidden gem anyway, something that can be said of Bulgaria as a whole. This is worth seeing, as is the view. Plan to have a coffee in the cafe next door and take it all in at a leisurely pace!

Many Roman theaters are well preserved in many countries, but when you see this wallpaper with modern buildings and rush street in background, you must admit that Plovdiv offers something special.

A very nice place, you can walk in and on the entire theater, stage and seats. Very nicely reconstructed.

This is one of the main historical landmarks of Plovdiv and Bulgaria. Is worth viewing while touring the old town.

Fabulous point of interest. Always a must visit, if you have never been in Plovdiv before. Spend an hour in one of the cafes next to it.

Kids must see this very rare Roman theater remains. If you are a lucky you can buy tickets for concerts and shows.

Stone antique theater is real attraction. It was built between two hills and disappeared during the history. After excavations in was partly reconstructed and serves for the same purpose as centuries ago. It is still a theater for different performances. Stone seats, really steep staircases...More

Great - and well preserved amphitheatre - very accessible to all. You can even enjoy it for free (without going in) if you so wish. It’s not preserved in aspic - it’s in the very heart of the city and has been, and continues to...More

I used Dinars in Serbia. I have not been to Romania; only saw it across the Danube river.

I haven't seen a ramp for wheelchairs and in general the access to the place to start with will be very tricky - the old town is mostly laid with cobble stones and on foot it can be tricky, let alone with a helping vehicle... More
