In the old town, the theatre was buried for many of centuries. Discovered by accident, it has be restored and preserved. Sit at the coffee shop and have a cup and view the theatre. A really good example of Roman architecture.

Even if there are concerts being prepared to play, you can still see enough of the Theatre. Summer is a busy month for the theatre so there is always things happening, which make it a bit hard to see the theatre in its glory

Love to see these Roman theaters still in use 2,000 years later. They were setting up for a concert when we visited. Well preserved, beautifully sited.

A must see in Plovdiv definitively. This is a beautiful amphitheater which is still used for operas and concerts. We saw it as a part of a free walking tour.

The ancient theatre is amazing. I was there for the Devin Townsend Project concert on 22 September. The venue is spectacular. Great views. So much history. This arena is beautiful and you could stay here for hours admiring the architecture and the view.

Very nice Amphitheatre. Look and just watch. Plovdiv is the oldest town in Europe and has a lot of culture. I'm looking forward for 2019 when Plovdiv becomes the culture capital of Europe.

I used Dinars in Serbia. I have not been to Romania; only saw it across the Danube river.

I haven't seen a ramp for wheelchairs and in general the access to the place to start with will be very tricky - the old town is mostly laid with cobble stones and on foot it can be tricky, let alone with a helping vehicle... More
