Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

...I'll start by saying that I only saw this beautiful Buca Palace in Kotor from the outside!!...the building belonged to one of the most important families in Kotor!!...the Buca family!!...it is said that very little remains of the original Palace !!…it was significantly destroyed by the various earthquakes that hit the city!,…even if it was rebuilt over time!!…but it is said that of the luxurious Palace that it was!!…only one window with two arches remains!! …which can only be seen from one part of the city!!…where the walls are!!…this Palazzo della Buca…is located right in front of the Palazzo Pima!!…

One of many palaces of Kotor. Actually is more like a house of the high class people back centuries ago. No much to see, I suppose that would have been much more interesting visiting inside.

This building is one of the oldest and largest in the Square as you walk into it. There isn't mush history behind it, but that rich folks used to live there a while back.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a fabulous time. Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Taxis are not permitted into the walled in city so there is a little bit of a walk to the hotel. All the rooms are a little different, but very cute and clean. A/C works great and the beds are super comfortable. If you are reading this review book a room, you will not be disappointed.

If we were to go by how many palaces appear in the list of to-do things in Kotor, you might think that Kotor is a fairyland. In reality, they are just some more massive buildings, devoid of any charm. As well as Buca Palace.

This is another home of a rich past family. Nothing special. You can take a photo while passing. There are restaurants around.

The Buda Palace is located opposite the Pima Palace but you almost miss it since there is nothing distinctive about the building.

One of many palaces/buildings within the walls. The home of a very important family, however sadly, now not as grandeur as it once was before the many earth quakes that besieged the town. The present look is from the reconstruction after the 1667 quake.

Also located in Flour Square, the palace was built by the powerful Buca family. Originally built in Gothic style, it was reconstructed after the disastrous 1667 earthquake and now has a rather plain façade.

The palace was built in the fourteenth century and belonged to the most important and richest manor family in the area. The palace is quite simple but the family coat of arms is still above the main entrance and Trifun Buća, representative of the Serbian king at the pope's court in Avignon was granted the right to include the lily flower symbol in the family coat of arms, which it was the symbol of the French kings.
