The City Walls offer great views of the city and the Old Town as well as making for some nice walks. For those wanting something easy you can walk on parts of the walls in the old town, for those that want something more challenging...More

Visiting is like becoming part of the ancient world, or climbing into a Game of Thrones episode, its hard to imagine just how long it took to build the walls and the buildings but it must have taken a long time.

brilliant fortified walls around the town. You can climb up onto them via steps and visit much of the town via the walls. interesting views. worth the effort.

We visited on a rainy day, but the rain stopped around 3:30 pm so we decided to walk along the wall. We found a staircase that allowed access to the wall. In many places there were steps along the edge with a sloped rocky path...More

A lovely town, and even the cruise ship that was in and up close did not deter from this towns beauty. We enjoyed a lovely couple of hours here taking in the sights and sounds of this lovely town/city

This is must do! If you did not walk city walls, that is like you have never been to Kotor. Beautiful view from the top is worth walking and climbing.

Yes, do take your time to walk the many steps up and around the walls. Suck in the views, stop a while to enjoy the scenery then continue on your way to more glory.

Unbelievable old, well preserved old city. Picturesque views from the hill above, big number of cars and huge old city, where you really feel like 2 centuries ago.

Being lovers of all things medieval. The city walls are quite beautiful, you can get up in amongst them, there are excellent photo opportunities to be had the higher you go the better they are.

The city walls which are an impressive 7 metres high (approximately) are really more of a fantastic historical reminder of the need to protect the Old Town (Stari Grad) from invaders. Ther is a small part of the wall available to walk along but you...More

Personally I'd say no. I don't remember seeing any children when I went last week. It's quite demanding... there are viewing points though before you get to the top, so maybe don't expect to be able to make it all the way... More

Hi Stimbo, I did the walk in March, and went up and down the same route. We started near La Dolce Vita Apartments and it is quite a trek, but worth it for the views. I've heard that it is 1400 steps and that might be... More
