I enjoyed walking along the Danube while visiting my relatives. It was a sunny winter's day, which made for perfect weather for a walk. From the river bank you can take in the fortress on the other side of the river. It makes a great place to take photos. A walk along the Danube is a must when visiting the... More

the Danube here is used mainly for commerce, . unlike other cities you would not find romantic bridges crossing it, nor would you find riverside restaurants but it's still makes for nice photographs

The Dunav river is really nice to see. It is the most wide river I have ever seen! You can see it from many bridges across it or from Petrovarazdin fortress. You can also walk alongside it.

Rent a bike in Novi Sad (e.g. a city bike at NS cycle) and cycle to Futog (historic village at 15 km from NS) and if your condition is okay on to Palanka. In the other direction: cycle to Sremski Karlovci (small historic town on the Danube at 12 km from NS, but part of it up-hill). Wonderful to cycle... More

This river is huge and it gives that 'something' to the charm of the city of Novi Sad. It also splits the town in two parts. Nice for walking around.

The river Danube has to be one of my favourite places in the world. There is soo much to do and so much to see. If you can find a quite little Splav and spend a couple hours relaxing eating some of the best food the Danube has to offer. I recommend the Splav Plavi Dunav in Futog only a... More

Nice place for a walk in daytime and by night. The view is nice from the fortress. Also you can take a short walk on the river bank.

I know that nobody would suggest swiming in Danube, but this is something that I strongly suggest. Perfect place to cool yourself during the summer heat and also anybody that learns to swim in Danube can swim anywhere in the world :)
