Byutifull location where traditions meet history. Mozart played his concert here, great sculptures from Pinzel were already presented in Paris and Vienna. Just 500 m from the city center you will find quiet location to enjoy your visit

This glorious building, the cathedral for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church here, is a monumental structure, always filled with life. One can sense the true spirit of holiness here- there are many services during the day, and even when nothing is happening, a true sense of peace filled the space. The Liturgy,is always done beautifully, and the church it is... More

The cathedral can easily be reached from the center and it is good to take a walk as you can start admiring this monumental bulding from far away. Standing on a hill, it is surrounded by a lot of free, green space which adds up to the atmosphere. The church itself is not so big. It has a beautiful altar... More

Small church, but very well preserved with very interesting history. Altar section is very nice. It has in display one of the few "authorised" copies of the holly cloth of Turin.

The place looks amazing after the renovation, there is a new square in front of and two parks quite near too.

Higher than its surroundings on walking distance (1.5 km) from the center of Lviv the cathedral stands out and is easy to find. The gleaming interior, the depiction of George fighting the dragon (symbolizing evil) with determination and force seems to appeal to at least part of the religious crowd. Still lots of flowers and candles showing the milder and... More

This is one of the most beautiful churches in Lviv! I have visited it as a part of the city tour - this is the best way to visit most interesting places of the city! City tour took three hours and the price was 4 dollars. Amazing! This church is a perfect example of Ukrainian culture. It's pretty big. Lots... More

Удивительное место. Всегда восхищалась и буду восхищаться красотами храмов/соборов в Украине, в особенности в Киеве и Львове. Советую не только Христианам (Католикам), но и любителям архитектуры. _______ Incredible place! I always admire and I will always admire the beauty of Ukrainian cathedrals, especially that are in Kiev and Lviv. I recommend to visit not just Christians (Catholics), and anyone interested... Beautiful church dedicated to St George in the centre of Lviv near the Polytechnic university and railway station. Beautiful building in Renaissance style. Worth visiting!

A little outside the city centre, it is easily accessible (some 20-30 minutes walk or public transport). The historical importance of the cathedral makes it a definite must-see spot on the Lviv's landmark map.
