Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This church is a must-see when visiting L'viv. Dating to the 14th century, its architecture reflects the three different periods of its construction, making it a very interesting stop. The current fresco's inside date mostly to the early 1900's, and are both beautiful and filled with meaning. A quiet, dark, quaint place. Step inside and step back in time. Also a great place for prayer and reflection.

Never seen before an Armenian church so richly decorated!!! it's not that big but it's charming I think.. Check the hours of operation because they close early. Do not miss it in your visit to Lviv!!!

Among many impressive churches of Lviv this one deserves a special place. I was here for a second time on Armenian Christmas Eve and Christmas and attended their liturgy. Chants, incense, very interesting and inspiring ceremony even if you do not understand Armenian. I even met one kind member of community who explained me about Armenians in Ukraine and their Christmas celebration. Here you can also buy Armenian souvenirs like hatckhars.

When we wntered we thought there was a service. But we were welcomed and it turned out that a group of fellow tourists were being 'entertained' by a priest and a lay sister singing Armenian chant. The murals on the walls caught my eye as they were hauntingly modern, most on the theme of death.

At one point, there were over sixty churches alone in the most elegant city of the country. This was however dissolved during the Soviet rule however since 1989, a renaissance in religious life in Lviv emerged. Currently there are nine registered churches in the city and these are all very unique in their own special way. The reason why Lviv is so cosmopolitan is that there is a tremendous amount of religious diversity.

The Armenian Church is one of the oldest Churches in Lviv since the Armenians boast that they are the oldest Christian civilisation in the world. Visitors are always stunned when they walk into this place of worship. Built in the fourteenth century, it has a stunning interior with an abundant use of the colour red.

the paintings, the service itself and the whole atmosphere : people quietly come and go and join the ceremony. All the singing is a capella and even when one does not understand the words, it inspires one to do some inward thinking. We also went to the restaurant next door which makes part of this monument.

We saw two recently wed couples taking photographs with family in the courtyard and surrounding area of the Armenian Church.

The interior contains stone arches, carved ceilings and colorful murals - very different from the baroque and gothic style churches that we typically visit.

This small Church was built they say in 1370 ! It can't compete with other big and more famous Churches in Lvov, but it is much older than others. This one is not beautiful inside, but its interior is much simpler and older and different, which is not bad at all. To me, it is a very interesting Church to visit. And the entrance is (very easy to find) from - Krakivska street.
