I can not talk about opera or ballet or concerts but just about the “visit” of the theater. Despite is it cheap by western standards (1.5 euro), I found it a total ripoff because you are not allowed to see the inside of the theater...More

We had already experienced the high standard of opera and ballet performances in the former Soviet Union and wanted to take advantage of what Ukraine had to offer. I was able to find out online that Lviv was offering an evening of ballet during our...More

Unfortunately only a small part of the Opera could be visited as they were renovating the Opera during the summer break. Hiwever the mirror room was quite nice. Would love to visit again when it is renovated.

I had the wonderful privilege to attend an event here. Gilded ornate interiors, grand staircases, and colorful murals make this one of the most special and romantic theaters I've ever visited. If you're traveling to L'viv you must see this amazing landmark!

The new production of the Opera was a great disappointment. Ridiculous sets like construction scaffolding, raggedy cutoffs, grimy-looking jeans, hoodlum types behaving like brutal gangsters. This was the background for the heavenly music of Mozart. The sonorous sounds of the clavicord emphasized the ridiculous incongruity...More
