In a country that loves it's statues and monuments this one is distinctive and classic. It is situated in a square across from Hotel George. Apparently Mickiewicz was a Polish patriot and poet and this tribute does him justice.

A beautiful and big monument, dedicated to the writer Adam Mickiewicz. Is located close to Rynek and is situated with green and benches to sit on. Also nice location to take the pictures.

Can be found easily at the end of Svobody Avenue (the other end is the Opera Theatre) in the middle of the little square named after the Polish poet himself. Would say it is more important for the many Polish tourists in the city than...More

nice place to take selfie, well preserved monument (by communists, not ukrainians). I hope Polish expats will not let it fall in ruins in hands of these barbarians

It's very nice that Lviv rember about polish famous writer. There were years that Lviv was part of Poland so I guess that's why there are so many polish monuments. Very clos to Lviv Opera.

Dont know the full story of the monument but it shows how history changed over years. As per our guide, Mickiewicz hadn't even been in Lviv, yet it is very much cheerished there

I have seen Adam Mickiewicz monuments in Warsaw and Krakow, now it's Lviv. He was a great patriotic writer of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. This column is the evidence of how people admires him.
