Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

King Danylo was one of the greatest and most famous rulers of one of the the ancient Ukraine states which extended from Poland to Kyiv and the Black Sea coast during his reign, in 1256. So it is most fitting to have a monument of him in the city.

An equestrian statue of Daniel of Galicia, the king of Ruthenia, who lived in XIII century and ruled th Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia. The monument is looking quiet organic on the Halytska (Galician) Square.

Monument To King Danylo is situated in the center of Lviv, in front of the bus stop ''Halystka Square." As it is the central monument with a horse, native citizens often use the simplified version of the landmark in the area - the horse. So, if someone invites you "to meet near/in front of the horse, this means near the monument to king Danylo. This monument was placed in 2001. It was created according to the project of sculptors Vasyl Yarych and Roman Romanovych? and the architect Yarema Churylka. It is 10 meters high and made of granite and bronze. It is dedicated to 800 anniversary of king's birthday.

King Danylo was very important person for Ukraine. That's why his monument is situated in City Center, close to Opera.

This monument to Danylo (Daniel) who lived between 1201-1264, and was considered to be the founder of Lviv, was installed in 2001 near the place of the former Galician Gate, one of the two entrances to the city. It is 10 meters high, and made from granite and bronze. As such, it is NOT old.
It is no better, nor no worse than any other monument erected in the world to a famous person. There is nothing special about it--it is an AVERAGE statue, So take a photo, or not, and then move on.

This is certainly an amazing monument to see when you're by the Halytska Square! It depicts this giant knight on a horse and hail from heaven. The surrounding garden/courtyard is another place to see flowers and the building that appears to be an art gallery.
