A nice construction revealing a little about the city history. Very convenient place to walk around. Nothing very exceptional, but I would recommend to check it out.

What an awesome gate; so powerful and grand. Behind the gate is the most interesting and beautiful town. Lots to see but unfortunately I only had too little time to enjoy all bits of it. I hope to visit again!
We walked around on our own. It was not crowded at the end of September, a perfect time to be there. This is a must if you are staying closeby.
The bridge to the city gate and old town was simply beautiful. What a unique and beautiful city!! We watched the sun set while on this bridge and it was a dream. Will be back!
Apparently the Old City was pretty much destroyed during World War II and the Civil War in the early 1990s. It has been meticulously restore to its former glory and is just a delight. Something for everyone with restaurants, shops, churches, museums, and Roman ruins....More
My first walled city as such and fascinating. just to have all those periods of history in an enclosed place. The views to the Adriatic are amazing and the people were friendly.
It's located near the South East side of Old Town Zadar, next to the 5 Wells Square. Just take a stroll and appreciate the history dated back in 16th century that was once used to be the entrance to the city during Roman Empire.
Gaze at this elaborate renaissance-dated gate that also overlooks a pretty little marina. This gate offers one of the finest examples of venetian architecture in Dalmatia.
