It is located in what you might call their town square with lots of cafes, shops etc...the arch is nice and you can walk through it.

As you head to the amphitheatre you walk through this superb roman arch. Just past the arch is a statue of James Joyce which is also a good photo opportunity.

This is a superb roman arch right in the centre of town and adjacent to the docks. Rivals any I have seen in Rome.

When you alight from the bus this is the first thing you see. The carvings are a little worn and the writing is barely legible but it makes for a grand entrance to the tourist street.

The best way to appreciate this monument is to sit with a drink at one of the cafes in Giardini. There must be a guided tour every three minutes and each tour has at least ten people jostling to get a photo of the arch....More

The good news about this sight is that there is no admission fee. The bad news is that there is not much to see and it is not well preserved. It is very crowded and touristy but you can basically see it from the road.

While walking from the Amphitheater to the Pula's Market Place, this was the first Gate I encountered. Took some pictures here and noted the presence of shops, bakeries, coffee shops, etc.

The archway is lovely. The entire street is actually really beautiful. But there are restaurants touching it. Must see if youre in Pula. No entrance fee, can visit any time.
