This Fortress was built in the 16th century to guard the east end of the Old Town and is right next to the east entrance Ploce City Gate. It was not harmed at all during the Quake of 1667 and so it must have been really fortified and well built. Now it serves as a night club and is also... More

The Revelin Fortress is located in the Old City Dubrovnik. It is known as the place in the movie Games of Thrones 'Walk of Shame' episode Mothers' Mercy, the controversial walk by Cersei parading through - her walk of penance daubed with blood and dirt. The Revelin Fortress was built at the eastern entrance to the city at the Polce... More

Not to be missed when visiting the Old town because of its iconic views of the harbor from the bridge leading to the gate. The view is specially stunning at dusk when the lights from the boats moored nearby are reflected,on the water.

Only to enter the building it is already worth the 20 minutes stop, the exhibition is a bit small, but you can read about the Revelin history and phases and see pieces of old churches, some already destroyed. Ticket I believe is free, it is part anyway of the Rector's combo ticket.

This is another of the fortresses that are dotted around the old town walls. A magnificent, imposing structure with great views from the top.

The Revelin Fortress guards the gate at the entrance to the Old Town area of Dubrovnik after you cross the pedestrian bridge. It is one of the primary defensive fortresses around the city and great to walk through.

This other massive fortress was built in the 15th century. It is just above the city old port. Today it offers a great view of the old port as well as the eastern part of the old city.

All around the City walls are Forts and each one different from the next. For those who are interested in the architecture and construction the building is fascinating. It is also a great place to cool of especially if you can find a windward window.

one of the most magnificent fortresses of Dubrovnik, built in the 16th century. Today its interior is used for concerts and music mostly for the young generation. In the ground floor is the Archeolotgical museum with important fragments of the Dubrovnik rich history.
