Buy a drink beforehand, side road on main street has a supermarket with cheap water. Great 360 degree views of the city and surrounding areas. Takes approx 1-2 hours. Free entry to the fort was quite good too

My wife and I walked all 4,343 steps! The view is amazing! Along the walls and the walk you will find little cafe's and vending for water, etc. The seaside has wonderful breezes! This is such a neat experience!

We loved the walk and the one way system worked well. Plenty of places to sit and rest after each set of steps.

Arguable the most popular attraction in Dubrovnik, lots of steps, crowded, no re-entry if you leave, no audio guide, or guide info of any kind for that matter and at 150 kn (GBP £18 or 25 usd) this must be one of the most expensive...More

It gives a different perspective being able to view the City and surrounding areas from several feet up. Great to wander around the whole City and see the mix of old and new. Definitely didn't expect to see a school playground/exercise field within the City...More

It was worth getting up early in the morning and being the first ones in line when they opened the gate. We were able to take beautiful pictures. Lots of steps but spectacular views. It`s a MUST in Duvrovnik.

Couldn't decide whether to do this but so pleased I did. Not too strenuous at all and the views incredible. I went up at 5.30pm and very few people and not hot. Perfect time of the day. Well worth it...just do it!

150 kn ( €20.00) to walk the walls. I must say it was a great way to see the town and the views were great. I don't think I would like to do it in the height of summer with the crowds and very warm...More

Whilst it was a hot day and the walls were busy, no visit to the city is complete without walking the walls. The views and the history are spectacular. Better to go early in the morning before the heat of the day and the numerous...More

We found the buses (from Lapad / Gruz) regular and cheap. You want a bus heading for "Old Town" / "Pile Gate". The buses stop right by the main gate / entrance in to the Old Town, which is also where most people buy their... More
