We drove up to Mt. Sad on a tour and loved the views down to Dubrovnik and out over the Adriatic. Our guide pointed out that we were just a short hike to the Bosnian border and the scene of much fighting during the war...More

I was glad that we had decided to do back-to-back cruises that allowed us two days in Dubrovnik. On our second day we were on our own and decided to travel up to Mount Srd. We were lucky to have a beautiful day and it...More

Best to go here by car or cab. Be aware that if you have your own (rental) car, the road is small. It's a really nice view point to see Dubrovnik in all her glory. There is also a chique bar & restaurant. Enough parking...More

We went up in the cable car, as time-limited and we ate at the Panoramic restaurant for a special occasion. It is definitely worth going up the mountain when in Dubrovnik. If walking, I suggest that you do it when cool and not dark. So,...More

Very nice walk up along the walking trail, which is a bit confusing to find, so get good directions first. There are very nice stations of the cross bronzes along the way, marking each switchback. Path up is not difficult, walking the stairs to get...More

Chose to hike to the top and was glad I did. Took around 35-40 minutes and the views of the old town on the way up were great.

The price is rather hefty just to visit a view platform and a pricey gift shop. There is not much to do at the top. The wires from the cable car will ruin any photo you planned to take from the top. I didn't eat...More

So pleased we decided to travel to the top of Mount SRD in the cable car. The view of Dubrovnik was stunning.

The hike is much more scenic since they pack you in the cable car = you can't see anything. The trail is well maintained; just wear some decent walking shoes and you'll be fine, as it is full of gentle switch backs. It's a bit...More

As others have described, took the #3 bus from Pile Gate. Got off a the busstop prior to the Gondola. Trail Head and signs are fairly easy to see. Took us just short of an hour with several stops for photos. Summit is rough. Napoleonic...More

I walked down after dark because I was stupid. I wouldn't recommend it. The path is not super steep, but very rocky and you're risking twisting an ankle. Alternatively, if you don't stay until the sun completely sets (in... More

We did the walk today (25/07/2018) and I recommend it rather than put people of it. At a relatively slow pace, it took us 90 minutes to walk up and 60 minutes to walk down. It will be quicker if it is not a blistering hot... More

Yes, but you would need time and be willing to hike the trails. We took a taxi which was perfect as he stopped along the way for us to take pictures.
