This place is a must visit every summer for us! Dubrovnik has had an explosion of gaudy souvenir shops littering the main street in old town. Not the case at Kawa! All goods are Croat made, and probably the latest in local design. The artists used are mostly all academic painters, with adorable little local sayings and contemporary design. The selection of jewelry is so good that I have started following the artists form the store on etsy and instagram, and have been ordering internationally through the year- Vicous Delicious, Okor and Zizou have been a yearly favourite.

This place is a must stop shop. There are so many unique gift ideas that are much better than what the typical “tourist” shop offers. Don’t pass up the bottle of local gin while you’re there.

Different from the ubiquitous souvenir stores, Kawa is just a stone's throw away from Ploce Gate. Amongst others, they sell accessories, clothes, food and skincare products. The range of each isn't much but the items are all exquisite and interesting. We saw souvenirs here that can't be found in other shops. Find your way here, and you can easily spend at least half an hour here.
