Literally an island of tranquility a short distance from Dubrovnik. A boaters heaven offering facilities without the teaming masses to be found elsewhere. Still with a heavy influx of tourists but has a very gentle island pace. Perhaps a claim to be the Med. as...More

This is where you will find the Bowa restaurant accessible by boat and a must to visit. The village on the other side of the Island is worth a visit too.

If you visit this island, you should buy some of the olive oil. I bought a bottle from a lady who had a small stall set up near the jetty. It was quite expensive but really good.

Sipan is less developed than Lopud and Kolocep which gives you the perspective of a fishing village where the locals are self sustaining. You can taste and purchase "homemade" olive oil and wine along the waterfront or venture into the hills to view some castles...More

Stopped here for coffee on our private boat tour with Dubrovnik Explorer. Literally one inlet on the island but 29 churches! They sell Olive Oil for which they are famous and it is excellent!
