Kasuni Beach

Kasuni Beach

About
This quiet beach on the Marjan Peninsula is just a short bus ride from Split's Old Town and a quieter alternative to the popular Bacvice Beach. The crescent-shaped cove is surrounded by the tree-covered cliffs of Marjan Hill and the turquoise waters are clean and clear. Rent a sun lounger by the beach bar and admire the views, or simply lay out a beach towel on the pebbly beach. The shore has some rocky areas and sea urchins, so footwear is recommended. While you're in the area, you can check out the historic side of the peninsula and the walking trails of Marjan Hill on a day trip. – Tripadvisor

The most beautiful beach in Split
The beaches in Croatia are all pebbles, there is no sand, so go with neoprene shoes and a towel thicker than your sarong. The beach is beautiful, the sea is super clear, you can walk (30 minutes) or by bus. In the summer there are some bars, but you will definitely pay a lot because it's the season so take your water

    Beach minimal
If the tide clean nothing to say but you have to keep in mind some aspects. Two cots cost in both stables from 35€ per cot (and to go up areivano to 500€); a salad costs 22€ so the prices are quite expensive. In the evening aperitifs with prices that have skyrocketed. Both beaches overcrowded. Sunbeds under umbrellas are not moved

    Rocky beach with clear water.
It's about a 50min walk from split. The beach bar is very clean and has beautiful sunbeds if your willing to pay 35 euros for a bed. The beach bar and sunbeds are cash only. The beach area is covered in gravel and so is the sea floor so make sure you pack your beach shoes as it's painful to walk on. We were there early on a Saturday and it was busy with locals. You don't have to get a bed you can sit on the floor but bring ab umbrella as there's not shade.

Cooling off on the pebble beach
Kasuni Beach is a pebble beach Which is overcrowded in season and towel after towel. At the beach bars there are loungers for rent for the day. Those who are stingy lie down on the gravel. The beach can be reached by scooter, e-scooter, bus, taxi, Uber or even by your own car, but with the arrival via your own car the parking situation is gambling during peak hours. The water is okay, not clear as in other coves but okay. Bathing shoes are recommended but none must for the hard from the garden.

    Lovely but expensive
10 mins from split harbour by bike. Lovely beach no doubt but very busy and extremely expensive. €35 per person for a lounger and expensive food and drinks. This place is also cash only.

    Bring cash
There are two bars on the beach owned by the same owner. Neither accept card unless you spend €70 in a single transaction. We arrived with €20 cazh because our research led us to believe you could use cards. They have a cash point but it wasn't working. One of the bar does let you run up a tab, the other doesn't. One bar has loud house music, the other is a bit more mainstream. Friendly enough staff but the rules around card payments were unnecessarily complicated. Take cash and expect lots of young people having a great time. Walk to the second bar if you're over 40/50/60!

    Beautiful, does get busy
Lovely clear water and clean pebble beach, we arrived early and made our way to the far end of the beach where there was plenty of space. Later in the day it does get very busy, so bear this in mind. FKK friendly section available as well.

Fantastic water and beautiful beach. Too bad about the inefficient bar and the inefficient and rude staff.
Clear water and very charming beach, during my holiday in Split I was there on two different days. It has only one major flaw: Joe’s Beach bar. This bar is the only one on the beach ergo exercises a monopoly on consumption, so to speak: a bottle of water comes for €4 and does not accept drinks at the counter for less than €70. Besides, the staff is also downright rude. The advice is to bring everything (water and food) from home to not depend on that place.

    Definitely check it out
A very gorgeous beach. The water was the clearest compared to the other beaches we’ve been to in Split. You can lay comfortably on the stones and I loved that I didn’t feel dirty from any sand. On top of that, the stones are quite small, thus they don’t leave any marks like I’ve experienced on other beaches. It was quite crowded, though, and a very small beach. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The views were unmatched and great atmosphere!

    Beautiful beach
The beach and the sea was nice (a bit of garbage was available) but there were also a lot of people there. There was little natural shade. Two sun loungers with umbrella cost 70€, also the food at the BeachBar was quite expensive. There is parking on site (you have to come early to get a spot). There are mobile toilets available.

One of the best!!
It is 10 minutes by bus from the city center. Pebble beach (Recommend rock shoes and rubber mat), availability of free showers and wanting there are two establishments but with absurd prices, 1 sunbed 35 €.
On the right at the bottom there is an exclusively nudist part for the more daring.
The water is spectacular!

Kasuni beach is great if you don’t have a car to drive to more secluded beautiful spots. You can take an uber for about five euro from the outside of Split city center and be there in 5-10 minutes. We stayed and watched the sunset—it was just gorgeous and quite empty as it was the end of September. There is a nice beach bar next to it, although we opted to sit on towels nearby. The water is clear and blue, and the nearby landscape is forested on one side and with the open water on the other side of the bay. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a bit more quiet and clean than Bačvice, but still close to the heart of Split.

Beach not bad although a bit rammed in as not much coastline with sunbeds at €35 each, as a result majority of folks lying away from the sunbeds on towels..😎. Beautiful clear water but take your gel shoes.

Beach Restaurant - Joe's Beach Lounge & Bar poor food at extortionate prices.

It’s a lovely spot, beautiful clear blue water and backdrop of cliffs & trees.
The charge of 35€ per lounger was a little steep especially when we only planned a couple of hours max here. They looked very nice though and are kept well BUT it’s a lost leader charging soooo much as hardly any were booked= make it cheaper and make more money. Or charge less for a couple of hours /half day. The girl on the charging desk for the beach didn’t have a sale the whole time we were here. Listen to that management !

We had a drink and bite to eat at Joe’s beach bar. Quite pleasant, chilled music would provide a nicer vibe. Our ‘club’ sandwich was ham cheese & tomato
&’French fries. We had to ask for paper napkins and then we were only given one !

Ditched the lounger idea but the shingle beach was fine to lie on with a towel. Remember appropriate footwearc for the sea, stones &’urchins.

Great beach located 10-15 minutes from the old city. Public transit cost 3 euros per person if you pay on the bus (less if you pre buy the ticket elsewhere). #12 bus - bus shelters have schedule posted. The beach is beautiful for Europe. Pebble beach not fine sand. Water shoes are recommended.

We loved this beach and spent all day here, its great for a good swim and also just for lounging in the shallows, plenty of space so you can spread out, and joes beach bar is fantastic. The sunbeds were fairly priced and so were food/drinks. If coming from split, you can uber in a few minutes, i wouldn’t recommend walking as its quite a way and not good in the heat, also to approach its on a main road with no path so uber/taxi is best. I would definitely recommend to come here at least once if staying in split as the other beaches nearest the centre are extremely busy and i found this to be much more relaxing and cleaner. There is only joes beach bar here, so either come and be prepared to spend some money on drinks and refreshments or enjoy a hot soggy picnic

Really nice beach located maybe 30 minute walk from split promenade, Bay Area with beach wrapped around it visually for good.

Some restaurants and bars around beach but all are rip off prices. Beach hire equipment is also heavily marked up and again not worth paying of 30 euros for a beach chair.

Gets really busy with all the tourist and locals so get on early at the beach if you want a good spot.

Wonderful beach. A few beach clubs with sunbeds available at a price but also space (you may have to squish in) to just sit on the stones. Water shoes are handy here. The depth of the sea drops away quite quickly. Plenty fish to see if you have goggles (only little ones).

Kasjuni Beach is located in Marjan Peninsula, in the surroundings of Split, the main city in the Center of Dalmatia Coast. It is a pebble beach, where you can bathe, sunbathe, relax or only see nice views. We came here at the end of October and really it was a hot day, and we could bathe in the sea. Nice and beautiful views.

Beautiful beach. We wear the special shoes for the stones and enjoy the warm and crystal clear water. The cost of the restrooms was €72 and we thought a lot considering the service they provided and the high prices of food and drink.
