Most of the climb has stairways that are not terribly steep and the reward is wonderful views of the city, the surroundings and the water with boats & ships! A plus is a nice restaurant/bar up high so you can relax, snack & drink your...More

We went for a lovely walk round this park adjacent to Split. It is very peaceful with beautiful trees. The views of the sea, beaches and from the lookout point are splendid. A good place to get away from the crowds.

The park is on the hill, but not taking many efforts to walk there, stairs for the first 10-15mins, trees alongside the trail further up. Walking in the park is an enjoyable experience, and it's a great loaction to get a splendid view of the...More

We enjoyed cycling from old Split to the north point and around back to the city and enjoyed the trees, the forest in which you notice that it must have constant wind from always the same direction as well as the nice beaches and views.

Amazing walking trails, hidden beaches along the coast, sea views, old 13th century churches. There are many stairs and you need your walking shoes on! A must for tourists who enjoy the outdoors. Really great photo opportunities

We made a mistake and went to the 'sandy beaches' on the other side of Split, which are not worthwhile. If you are not staying in Marjan and dont have a car then the best way to get there is by bus 12 which stops...More

The most beautiful part of Split is Marjan. Our recreation area and park. You can swim in sea down under trees or keep running or walking with your friends, family, children...just wear something sportivo and enjoy.

Personally I think you should walk up the hill. A bike is not suitable as it goes up and up and up. Look at Google under marjan. For best views and incredible sunset go all the way up......

I would say about 3h is fair at a decent pace and stopping for pictures.

There isn't a bus or train service to the top. You have to be prepared to climb many steps from the end of the Riva. Takes about 40-50 minutes.. totally worth it. Uber is an option though.
