These private dwellings were once the palace of the Cindro noble family. There’s not a lot to see to be honest, in the narrow streets where this building is located, the only notable features that’s visible are the balconies and the family crest of CIndro. However, the lower floor is home to several cafes, bars/restaurants and shops. A decent stop away from the main tourist crowds.

Cindro Palace is one of the many important buildings located in the old town of Split, a city in Dalmatian Coast. In fact, if you walk around this part of Split, you will see it. It has a Renaissance facade with some.windows with arcades. Nice. On average.

Palača Cindro displays Baroque architecture and a grand frontage which you’ll see when visiting the Old Town. It is not far from the Iron Gate. Whilst not open to the public, the legacy of the Cindro Family remains a part of Split.

It was a bit difficult to find this palace, as Tripadvisor gave the wrong address. I liked its facade, even if it is not so easy to see it its whole due to a very narrow street. The information board shows photograph how it looked when there were no buildings opposite it - a fine baroque, well proportioned palace.

Cindro Palace is a large Baroque palace on Dioklecijanova ulica (the Decumanus or main east-west street in Roman times) between the Peristyle and the Iron Gate. The palace was built by wealthy Cindro family in the 1700s. A grand facade has beautifully carved stone balconies, which unfortunately are hard to appreciate in the narrow street. The four wings of the building enclose a courtyard, overlooked by rooms with balconies. The palace is a typical example of a patrician Venetian palace from the period. Regrettably, it is not open to the public and is only marked by a historic plaque on the facade in between a couple of shops. The palace facade is illuminated at night. I thought that the Renaissance/Baroque palaces in Trg Brace Radic (the so-called Fruit Square which is NOT the current fruit market) were easier to view, since the more spacious plaza allowed me to step back and get a better perspective of their facades. You can walk by the Cindro Palace at any time since Dioklecijanova ulica is open to the public at all times with no entry fee.

One of the best examples of this type of architecture in Split. You may need to block the shop and restaurant out of your mind, but what a building it must have been when it was first built.

Having spent the day strolling through Split's old town, we were almost overwhelmed by the marvellous examples of architecture we had seen. The Cindro Palace was one of a number of old buildings which caught our attention as a result of its splendid architecture.
Located in a narrow street, in one of the quieter parts of the old town, its remarkable facade was a great subject for some photographs. The narrowness of the street made it somewhat difficult to get some good angles for shots but we were quite happy with the finished product.
If you happen to like fine architecture, then the Cindro Palace is worth seeking out to take a look and get some photographs!

The Cindro palace is a very beautiful baroque palace situated in the Decumanus street. There is also a restaurant and a candy shop right in front of it.

The Palaca Cindro is a historic building located on Krešimirova Ulica. We passed by it quite by chance as we walked from the Peristyle towards People's Square.
