I visited early morning after arriving into Odessa because we couldn't check in to or hostel until much later. The port is a rather spectacular area which is mostly open to the public in a way unlike anywhere I have visited in Western Europe. This...More

It is a very important port for Ukraine that many goods were imported here from black sea. Besides, it is advised to walk starting from the Tarasa Shevchenko Park.

Night time walk on the pier... nice as always... to our shock it appeared the Hotel Odessa was closed. Cant really add much more to this other than the usual smells and sounds being there.

Right at the bottom of the Potemkin Steps, the Port begins. You can visit but there is not more than a few sightseeing boat tours and a old Schooner. Everything else is industrial port

The Odessa Port is very big and you will be impressed by its size. The ships are big and you have the chance to make good pictures.
