This is an impressive statue, particularly if one haven´t seen the original in Vatican. In my child years I was sure that it is an original :) When I finally saw the original in Vatican it was like visiting an old friend :) The size...More

In the Vatican there is a statue. Here is the place of this tragedy. Also a reminder to the current generation of tourists - "Вo not bathe in unfamiliar places, outside the beaches."

The statue might not be so outstanding, but it's the surrounding streets and park that is the appeal.

Not sure why this would be a big destination. It is a statue in a nice setting. There's nothing special about this piece. It is part of a larger plaza that is a pleasant stroll but not really a destination in itself.

Not sure why this spot is listed at all. The area is overall nice but this statue is hardly worth mentioning as a tourist destination. It's like adding garden benches to the list.

What does Odessa have in common with Rhodes, Florence, and Rome? This monument of Laocoon from Greek mythology. In Odessa, this is a replica. If it is on your way, stop by to see this symbol of Odessas' golden cultural past.

Actually this is a copy, not original statue, which was ruined with time and vandals.
